Thanksgiving Thoughts

Give Thanks Soul CardDear Ones:

This week offers us a unique opportunity to draw closer to those we hold dear and also to the One who created and sustains us. There is no greater time than this to acknowledge and express our Oneness with each other and with all creation.

Last week, I set aside a day to be with friends. It was a beautiful experience, and a day we all profoundly appreciated. Sri Daya Mata says that even in our daily activities, we must never take for granted the Presence that flows through our relationships because it is a gift. When we cherish each other through laughter and friendship we are actually being cherished by the Divine Giver. We begin to resonate with love. Our collective consciousness is then uplifted when we hug another, or warmly acknowledge that person’s kindness.

Part of the Thanksgiving holiday is to simply give with an open heart. If we establish that as a daily habit, we are actually little receptors for Divine Grace. By doing so, we acknowledge our connection with the Presence. Circulate some unconditional love this week and see how it feels. Offer encouragement and appreciation instead of waiting to receive. Focus on serving rather than your desire to be served. This is the spirit of Thanksgiving, and by making this holiday a spiritual practice, you may find all your needs being effortlessly and beautifully met.

Daily Word has a lovely Thanksgiving message I would like to share:

Today I feel deepest gratitude.

This day offers a sacred opportunity to live in appreciation. Sowing seeds of love, I look for loving qualities in others. I nurture my own growth by accepting people as they are. I am grateful for everyone and everything, seeing the divine potential within every being and experience. I am growing into greater expression of my divine nature, and I feel deepest gratitude.

From the deepest part of my heart,

Charlene
