Doug Bentley, a Oneness Guide from The Oneness University in India, recently told me a marvelous story I want to share with you. In 2005, while he was at work in Washington, D.C., he watched an internet video of an American woman sitting in southern India at a festival held for spiritual teachers to display their work. It was meant to be a celebration of the idea behind contribution and service to humanity, which is unity. This woman was clearly in an altered state of being, a state of total and unconditional love and peace. As joy poured out of her, tears rolled down her cheeks. She explained how, after 30 years of intense seeking and trying every spiritual path and modality possible, she had just had this experience after receiving something very new being offered to humanity called deeksha or the Oneness Blessing. Deeksha is a divine energy transfer that helps activate the energetic body and opens various energy centers within the body that allow a person to start having a direct experiential and personal relationship with the Divine.
This blessing, as Doug tells the story, was given to her by a living avatar named Sri Bhagavan, and provided her with the freedom she had yearned for. In her face and body, he saw the authenticity of her experience. She was humbled from the magnitude of this gift. Later, it changed his whole path to awakening to a higher state of being, of uplifting himself into conscious living, and consequently, it permanently shifted his pathway to peace and joy.
Today, deeksha is given along with many other teachings and ancient processes that help a person’s energetic body get activated. It makes easier to grow in a spiritual dimension.
